Andernach & Bleck receives EcoZert from Creditreform Dortmund

On December 19, 2023, Andernach & Bleck was awarded the “EcoZert” certification. Creditreform Dortmund thereby confirmed that the bright steel producer and processor met the certification criteria in the areas of resource efficiency, social responsibility and good corporate governance. Carsten Bleck, Managing Director of Andernach & Bleck, received the certificate from Hartmut Irmer, Head of Sales at Creditreform Dortmund. The long-established Hagen-based company was the first company in the Hagen region to meet the EcoZert requirements.

The award was based on an assessment of selected criteria in the areas of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). It documents the results of the assessment conducted by Creditreform Dortmund at the time of certification.

“We are pleased to have received the EcoZert award. The assessment provides us with an opportunity to review our existing measures in the areas of environmental, social and corporate governance and identify further potential for improvement,” explains Bleck.

“Sustainability is not only one of the defining social issues of our time, but also an important differentiating factor for companies,” said Irmer at the award ceremony.

EcoZert is an award issued by Creditreform to companies that meet defined criteria in the areas of environmental, social and corporate governance.

As part of the assessment, a company's measures and structures are evaluated against the underlying assessment criteria. The results are documented in an assessment report, which outlines both compliance with the assessed criteria and potential areas for improvement.
